FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many sessions can I have and how long do they last?
I currently offer 30, 60 or 90 minute sessions for individual clients online and 60 minute sessions for walk and talk therapy. I usually offer between 6 - 8 sessions. I understand that everybody has different needs and therefore the minimum number of sessions I could offer is 4 with the maximum going up to 16. Clients who prefer fortnightly sessions have the option of having a 90-minute session.
How do I get started?
I offer a free 15 minute consultation where we can see if we are a good fit for each other. After which you can contact me via text or email to let me know if you wish to continue. I will then forward our contract to you to be signed and returned. Upon receiving this, I will send you your meeting link that you will use for all your sessions along with my banking information.
Can I have more sessions after I have complete my contract?
Any additional requirement for sessions will be discussed before the end of the contracted sessions. Clients who would like to return after the contract has ended can do so after 6 months of their final session.
Am I eligible for a lower fee?
I offer a sliding scale for individuals with low or no income on 60 and 90 minute sessions. Concessions are offered for OAPs, students, trainee counsellors and refugees. Please get in touch via email for pricing.
When can I seek counselling if I have lost someone?
Clients that have experienced bereavement, similar to most bereavement services, I would recommend for you to get in touch after 4-6 months as I believe that early intervention of a counsellor can often hinder the natural process of grieving for an individual. As always though everyone's circumstances are unique and if you feel ready for counselling, I am more than happy to work with you.
What if person-centred therapy is not for me?
We will discuss your goals and needs from therapy again. If you feel like you would benefit from a different kind of service, I would be happy to sign post you to different services that might benefit you.
